Special Education

Dr. Anita P. Manning
Director of Special Education - Elementary Level
Frances Woolery-Jones
Director of Special Education - Secondary Level

The mission of the Cherry Creek School District Special Education Department is to prepare our students with special needs for positive post-secondary outcomes by ensuring access, alignment, achievement, advocacy, and accountability. We are committed to this mission and to our goal of reducing the number of special needs students who are scoring within the unsatisfactory range on state assessments by 15% over the next three years.

The Special Education portion of the website is designed to provide information regarding our district programs, our staff, and available resources for families who have children with special needs. The website also contains information on the Response to Intervention process that is used by CCSD in working with all struggling students. This process is also used in the identification of students who are eligible for specially designed instruction through our department.

On behalf of our district special education team, we'd like to extend an invitation to contact our office at this number should you have questions or require assistance in any manner: 720-554-4236.
